This handmade crackle glaze raku stoneware vessel is a vibrant and sculptural piece of contemporary ceramic art. Fired using the traditional raku firing technique, the glaze has developed a beautiful network of fine crackles that create intricate patterns across the surface.
 
This piece measures 29cm height x 11cm width at the largest part of the body.
 
The striking colour combination of turquoise blue, rich orange/red, and soft yellow makes this piece a real statement for any interior. The tall textured blue neck contrasts beautifully with the rounded body, giving the vessel an elegant, sculptural presence.
 
This piece was slip cast using Ashraf Hanna stoneware clay and after bisque firing was sprayed with the two different coloured crackle glazes and fired in a raku kiln. The top was wheel thrown and also given the same treatment as the main body.
 
Each raku firing produces unique crackle patterns and subtle variations in colour, meaning no two pieces are ever exactly the same.
 
Perfect as a decorative ceramic art piece for a shelf, sideboard, or display cabinet.
Although this may resemble a vessel it is not intended as such and is for purely decorative purposes.

• Please do not submerge in water, to clean please use a gentle detergent and lukewarm water.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
• Because of the low firing temperatures of Raku they are NOT food safe and will NOT hold water so are purely decorative

• Please note that due to the raku firing process, this piece is intended for decorative use only and is not watertight. Small surface variations or fine cracks may occur and are a natural characteristic of raku-fired ceramics.
